Rapid Prototyping

FDM 3D printing allowing proof of concepts models in order to quickly evaluate a testing approach or product design, ensuring that early optimisation iterations stay low cost.

3D printing done in a wide vareity of polymers including:

  • PLA 
  • ABS 
  • PETG 
  • Flex
  • Nylon

Achievable print sizes of 250x210x210 (WxLxH) with layer heights down to 50 microns and multi material capabilities making multi colour prints a possibility while also allowing for use of soluble supports increasing possible part complexity significantly. 

Testing and measuring

Customized test setups, facilitated on 120m² of prototyping area with acces to a 3 m³ enclosed and ventilated test chamber. Utilizing, National Instruments based, data acquisition, offering high continuous sampling rates at 24 bits of resolution; Capable of measuring most outputs from voltage based transducers such as:

  • Thermocouples
  • Strain gauges
  • Accelerometers
  • dB meters
License to perform in-field blast testing
combined with in-house high strain rate testing using our split hopkinson torsional bar, achieving strain rates of up to 3000.

Finite Element Analysis

FEM modelling and simulation from small simple parts to more complex geometries and master the skills of modelling isotropic, composites and hybrid materials.
